Seattle-based Beat Connection has announced its first North American headlining tour with White Arrows this summer after making a dynamic SXSW debut earlier this month. The quartet embarked on its first US tour with STRFKR
this past September, performing to sold-out rooms and earning rave
reviews for their fantastic live set. They will revisit these cities and
all the major markets throughout the country, kicking off their first
headlining show as a four-piece in Seattle this Thursday, April 5th. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Saturday, April 7th. Recently premiering its track ‘Think/Feel‘ (featuring Chelsey Scheffe) with The FADER, the group is now readying its first full-length Palace Garden album, due later this year with Tender Age / Moshi Moshi.
Beat Connection began when members Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger met in 2008 as freshmen at the University of Washington and started making late-summer-appropriate house music in Garageband. Crafting dorm-room beats and venturing into DJing gigs, together they worked towards their last year’s Surf Noir EP, which received accolades from Pitchfork, KEXP, Death + Taxes, The Seattle Times and The Seattle Weekly, deeming them “Best New Band of 2011.” With the recent addition of Tom Eddy as lead vocalist, and drummer Jarred Katz, Beat Connection is ready to hit the road as a full band.
WHITE ARROWS "White Arrows’ unique concoction of afro-beats, spacey synth and garage
rock is what makes the group so appealing in a musical world saturated
with recycled sounds, and its charismatic performances is what’s going
to take it to the next level. It’s no wonder the experimental rockers
have toured with the likes of Cults, Those Darlins, and the Naked and
Famous, played the Sasquatch music festival, opened for Weezer, and
headlined residencies at home(LA) and in London." - bestnewbands.com http://whitearrows.com/
TEEN DAZE "Teen Daze – and what a great name that is, cleverly connoting a sense of
yearning and some of the shimmering haziness of his sound – has just
made a six-track EP, A Silent Planet, that takes glo-fi melancholia to
new levels...We won't do a track-by-track this time because it'll just be an
embarrassing gush of superlatives and synonyms for opalescent
gorgeousness..."- The Guardian UK http://beatsperminute.com/media/bpm-mp3-premiere-teen-daze-the-future-jesse-ruins-remix/ http://teendaze.bandcamp.com/
