Harnessing the Elements: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water

Thu. 07/05 | 11:00AM - Mon. 04/01 @ Milwaukee Public Museum (map)

Event Details
"As both destructive and creative forces, the basic elements of earth, wind, fire, and water have shaped history and transformed our world. Showing objects from around the world, Harnessing the Elements examines how humans have used these elements, from coins forged by fire to energy captured by windmills, in our every-day lives.

Harnessing the Elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water is the culmination of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee/MPM Museum Studies program, a two-year cooperative graduate certificate program between UW-Milwaukee and the Museum. Students develop the annual exhibit from inception to completion, gaining invaluable professional experience. This exhibit will be on display from early May 2012 through April 2013 on the third floor of the Museum."
